Twitter is Right in Suspending Kangana Ranaut’s Account
Kangana Ranaut, a Bollywood actress, has been making news for all bad reasons as she kept on expressing her naive views most of the time. But this time, it seems that it has come at the brink of getting things torn. We now see Twitter ‘permanently suspending the Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut’s account after she tweeted about the post-poll violence in Bengal and tweeted what appeared like a call to violence.’
In a statement, Twitter said, “We’ve been clear that we will take strong enforcement action on behaviour that has the potential to lead to offline harm. The referenced account has been permanently suspended for repeated violations of Twitter Rules specifically our Hateful Conduct policy and Abusive Behaviour policy. We enforce the Twitter Rules judiciously and impartially for everyone on our service.”
It should be noted that Twitter has previously permanently suspended the account of former US President Donald Trump for his tweets when rioting took place at the US Capitol. Thus Kangana is now the second celebrity account in the world to be banned for spreading hate and calling for violence by the Indian PM. It also alleges the involvement of Mr. Modi in a particular genocide carried out in Gujarat, which is both serious and unpardonable as he was given clean chit by the courts.
In a sense, Twitter is right in deciding upon the suspension of the Bollywood actress who has made the microblogging site her war zone. Her reaction after the suspension was also found very naive and insensible when she alleged that the whites have always tortured the blacks and Twitter belonging to the White Americans are treading the same path. Lastly, she called the death of democracy when her account was suspended when the fact of the matter is she was inciting violence with her instigating message.

Israel is Committing a War Crime
Since 1956, 37 Palestinian families have been living in 27 homes with valid documents, in Sheikh Jarrah, neighbourhood of East Jerusalem. On May 6, Palestinians had arranged tables for Iftar (Fast breaking event). Jewish settlers who wanted to forcefully evict these legal owners, started throwing stones and bottles etc., which resulted in skirmishes between the two groups. Forcefully evicting legal owners of properties amounts to “a war Crime”.
Again on May 7, when Muslim worshippers were praying Ramadan prayers in Al-Aqsa mosque, Israeli Police used stun grenades and gas bombs to disperse the worshippers. Israel is the only country in the world, whose borders are expanding day and night, who believe that whatever they do with Palestinians is their right even if it is illegal.
It is apt to remember that the so-called “State of Israel” is an illegitimate nation fathered by the UK, and supported by the USA.

Courts’ Intervention
The Covid-19 crisis gripping the nation needs massive efforts to bring some semblance of unity of purpose between state and central Governments. It is high time to forget the differences and work together to provide immediate succour for the suffering people. It is predicted by medical experts that the second wave of Covid-19 is more deadly than the earlier. But it is seen that Central Government and the political class are more interested in Assembly elections and public rallies, ignoring the Covid-19 virus protocols.
What is more galling is that the several High Courts have to address the oxygen shortage in hospitals and castigated the Government for its lack of preparation to meet the impending crises. If this is the case i.e. courts of the land are forced to intervene in the day to day functions of the government, it clearly shows the ever diminishing level of competence and governance.
