US, western allies responsible for the mess in West Asia
The US and its western allies are solely responsible for the mess happening in West Asia by supporting Israel for geo-strategic reasons and undermining the genuine aspirations of the Palestinians for a homeland.
The horrendous act of Hamas targeting innocent civilians cannot be justified and must be condemned in no uncertain terms. But the way how the so-called civilised nations are turning a blind eye to Israel’s pounding of residential buildings and blockade of water, food, medicine and electricity to 2.3 million Gazans is shameful.
The United Nations too has lost its relevance for failing to stop the collective punishment of the people of Gaza.

Muslims, weaker sections shouldn’t depend on political parties
This refers to a signed editorial by Mr. Syed Tanveer Ahmed vide issue of Radiance, 7 October, 2023.
The learned writer has asked the Congress Party to speak about all deprived groups. Why only Congress? All the political parties should speak for the weaker and marginalised sections of society. Congress ruled the country for about 50 years and during this period Muslims’ condition has deteriorated (please see Sachar Committee Report).
Had Congress worked seriously and sincerely for the betterment of minorities and depressed sections, then the learned writer would have not pleaded to the Congress to speak for deprived groups. There are ample examples to prove that Muslim leaders in Congress have abandoned those they claim to represent. As soon as these Muslim leaders get elected, they wear the robe of secularism and conceal their Muslimness and ignore genuine problems faced by the community. Congress has always promoted M.C. Chhagala type Muslims.
Instead of relying on any political party, Muslims and other weaker sections should work hard for their development and stand on their own legs.
Congress is tweedledum& BJP (or any other political party) is tweedledee.

Nation will be in Danger if BJP Comes to Power Again?
It was reported in the press that Kerala chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan has warned that if the BJP comes to power for a third time, the country would be in an ‘Insurmountable danger’ and there would be no point in regretting it thereafter. Attacking the BJP-ruled centre as well as RSS and Sangh Parivar, Mr. Vijayan accused them of trying to destroy the diversity in the country and create a nation based on religion.
The Kerala CM claimed that communal clashes were taking place in the country based on cows, the kind of food that should be consumed and by depicting one group of citizens as enemies of the nation. He contended that everyone, irrespective of his/her religion, caste or creed, is entitled to equal protection of law, but that is being changed in the country.
All this has created fear and apprehension among minority communities, the CM claimed while speaking at an event in the north Kerala district. The country has realised this fact and public opinion is that this danger has to be avoided. Therefore, a unified front of secular-minded groups and people has been created with the aim to defeat the BJP and ensuring it does not return to power for a third term, the CM said recently.
