A Marked Difference!

On September 5, Inquilab Urdu daily reported a woman named Sunita Devi mercilessly beating to death a 5-year-old child named Ankush. The woman was enraged because the neighbour’s child had urinated outside her home. Let’s compare it with almost the same incident of urination in the time of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

Once Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was sitting in the Masjid-i-Nabawi in Madinah when a Bedouin came and started urinating in a corner. People present there shouted: stop, stop… and rushed to reprimand him but the Prophet ﷺ ordered, “Don’t interrupt him; leave him alone.” When he finished urinating, the Prophet ﷺ called him and explained to him: “These mosques are not the places meant for urine and filth, but are only for the remembrance of Allah, prayer and the recitation of the Qur’ān.” Then the Prophet ﷺ asked his companions present there to pour a vessel of water over the place where the Bedouin has passed urine.

Prophet Muhammad ﷺthen said to his companions, “You have been sent to make things easy (for the people) and you have not been sent to make things difficult for them.” (Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim)

Udhayanidhi Stalin flays Amit Shah’s ‘Hindi Unites’ remark

Udhayanidhi Stalin, Tamil Nadu state minister for sports development, has raised objections over Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s statement that Hindi united the people of country and empowered regional languages. In his message on X, Udhayanidhi Stalin has warned Shah, saying that he should stop disrespecting languages other than Hindi by belittling them as ‘regional languages’.

Slamming Mr. Shah for his remark that ‘Hindi unites’, Udhayanidhi Stalin said that it is ‘absurd’ to claim that Hindi, spoken in just four to five states, unites the entire Indian union. He said the Union Home Minister has as usual shown his love for Hindi by commenting that only “Hindi unites people and empowered languages.” He said in Tamilnadu it is Tamil, and Malayalam is the language in Kerala. How is Hindi uniting these two states? How is it empowering? he asked.

He strongly condemned the statement of Amit Shah claiming that Hindi is the uniting force of India and it is empowering other regional languages. It is only another version of imposing Hindi under the guise of generating livelihood.

Don’t start quit India movement

India is a powerhouse of talent and potential. But it is unfortunate that talent developed in the country is migrating to other nations and contributing to other economies.

Every year many technology graduates not only from premier institutes but from institutions across the nation migrate to other countries for better career opportunities, causing brain drain.

The government should create a conducive environment and provide opportunities so that this talents realize their responsibility and gratitude towards the nation, which has made huge investments for their education and contribute back to the nation’s growth.

Let us not start another Quit India Movement!
