Reclaiming Our Future: The Urgent Call for Moral Vigilance and Education

To shield the next generation from this digital subversion, we must act immediately across three critical fronts. First, we must upgrade educational standards by integrating rigorous moral literacy and ethical values into academic curricula. This structural shift fosters critical thinking, instils true self-worth, and builds strong resilience against external cultural pressures.

The global Muslim community faces a quiet but devastating crisis. Our most critical vulnerabilities are now emerging from within our own homes. Every day, social media trends reflect an alarming reality where school, college, and working men/women are choosing a path that leads to a brutal spiritual and emotional end. Driven by the illusion of being ‘liberal-minded’, many are falling into impermissible (haram) relationships that systematically dismantle their dignity and foundational values.

Second, parental oversight must be transformed to eliminate emotional disconnect. Parents need to actively monitor digital environments and establish open, trust-based communication channels to prevent youth from becoming easy targets for deceptive and exploitative external influences.

Finally, community support is essential to build unified platforms and safe spaces dedicated to protecting and empowering young women. By strengthening these community networks, we ensure women are fully equipped to reject toxic trends and reclaim their standing with true honour.

We can no longer afford passive complacency. Reclaiming our future requires building resilient, well-educated households that substitute the false promises of modern subversion with genuine spiritual purpose and intellectual strength.

Daughters Still Unsafe

Every year International Daughters’ Day is observed. In spite of the observance of the day, the consistent problem of gender bias, violence, and sexual misconduct against the girl child goes unpunished and rages on without an end in sight. From Delhi to Kanyakumari, no daughter is absolutely safe and lives with the dignity she deserves. The hypocrisy of the society is unbelievable. On one side, it worships numerous goddesses and on the other side it tortures, humiliates and abuses the same female form sexually. No law is enough for the safety of daughters, it is the MINDSET of people towards women which needs to change urgently.

Is India Secular?

Please allow me to share a paragraph of an article titled “Now Christians too in the crosshairs of Hindutva goons” co-authored by Kunal Chatterjee and Saurabh Sen published in the National Herald, a national English weekly newspaper, dated 27-09-2026. I quote verbatim a relevant paragraph hereunder:

“Yet another IPS officer, Bushra Bano, was transferred ‘in public interest’ within two and a half months of being posted in Kharagpur. A Hindutva outfit flagged her use of common Arabic words,In Sha Allah (if God wills), AssalamuAlaikum(peace be to you) and Jazakallah (may God reward you with goodness) in her motivational address to students as ‘offensive’ and ‘unpatriotic.’ ”

In my humble opinion and to the best of my knowledge, the IPS officer has NOT (not capitalised deliberately) violated any of the rules and regulations of Civil Services’ Rules or acted against Constitutional provisions.

Now, I leave it to the learned readers of Radiance to make up their mind.

Believing in Luck in Islam

Lending my support to the views expressed in the letter “Believing in Luck in Islam”by Muhammad Abdus Samad (Radiance, 04-10 October2026), I would further say why the man faces misfortune and what a believer has to do whenever he faces misfortune as stated in the Glorious Qur’an: “Lo! We try you with something of fear and hunger and loss of wealth and lives and crops but give a glade tiding to those who patiently preserve and say when a misfortune striketh them: Lo! we belong to Allah and we must return to Him (innalillahiwainna-ilayhiraji-un). Such are they on whom are blessings from their Lord and mercy. Such are the rightly guided.” (2:155-157).
