Dr. Irfan Ahmad Khan, Director Association for Qur’ānic Studies Chicago, describing the Qur’ān as the source of all knowledge, said, “As the knowledge and human mind will develop, the new didactic wisdom of the Qur’ān will appear for people.” He was addressing the gathering at the residence of Allama Asghar Mehdi in Rampur, UP on March 30.
He further said that the Qur’ān always invites and exhorts people to think and deliberate. He gave the examples of Caliph Ali, Abdullah Bin Abbas, Abdullah Bin Masood and Imam Ibne Taimiya, Roomi, Razi, Shah Waliullah and Allama Iqbal as those who used to contemplate on the Qur’ān. They delved deep into the ocean of the Qur’ānic knowledge and brought a wealth of new wisdom to the world. He said that the spheres of education have broadened today and all types of knowledge help people to understand the Qur’ān; these are not an obstacle to understand it. He also said God will indeed re-empower the Muslims if they try to understand the Qur’ān and follow it. He said God has made Muslims the best community. Therefore, it is the responsibility of Muslims to establish justice and peace in the society.
