Like Salman Rushdi, the writer of blasphemous and anti-Islamic, {Satanic Verses}, Taslima Nasreen too has been under backlash and flak of Muslim world for her anti-Islamic books. And after having been expatriated from her own home-land Bangladesh, she further has been expelled from, West-Bengal where she had sought shelter. This critical juncture of her cross road has provided opportunity to the opponents of Muslims in the garb like Narendra Modi, the notorious and infamous chief-minister of Gujarat ever after his exposure by “Tehelka expose” to extend his helping hand by inviting Taslima to his State of Gujarat for security and shelter in a precise more to gather votes of Hindu-brothers at the current hunting. Now she looks in the fix and her position is like a stray dog as an adage goes on, “Dhobi Ka Kutta Ghar Ka Na Ghat Ka”- the stray dog neither for home nor of land or ashore.
In this scenario she has announced publicly that she is willing to remove all the sentences from her books which hurt the feelings of Muslims. It is undoubtedly a welcome step forward to plug her loopholes. Though there is no compulsion in Islam and as the Holy Quran enjoys to all human beings, “There is no compulsion in religion and the guided right path is distinct from the misguided stray one” {2-2-56}.
Taslima out of her discreetness and audacity supposed to go further and submit her unqualified apology to the Muslims an I am sure the Muslims in the very spirit of “Bismillah hir Rehman er Rahim”- in the name of Allah, the Benevolent and Merciful, the very first sentence of all the chapters of Holy Quran shall excuse her. May wisdom befall of us all?
