Last year it was 8 per cent in Karnataka and 0.7 per cent in India. Our branches elsewhere are also performing very well.”
“It is a culture in Shaheen Group to provide free education for almost 25 per cent students and it provides ample opportunity for students who are from weaker and marginalised sections. It is the duty of Shaheen Group to fulfil all educational requirements of students. We have a separate department called AICU (Academic Intensive Care Unit) where we provide special care for weak students and dropouts,” said the chairman of Shaheen Group.
Kaleemul Hafeez, Managing Director of Shaheen Academy, Delhi said, “It is the result of persistent efforts of Dr. Abdul Qadeer for the last 31 years that in NEET exams Karthik Reddy, a student of Shaheen Academy Bidar, has achieved 1st rank in Karnataka and 9th rank in All India NEET exams. Around 1800 students from Shaheen Group had applied for NEET, of which 1500 have qualified, out of which 400 students will get free government medical seats. Among them, the top rankers are Karthik Reddy (710/720), Arbaaz Ahmed (700/720) and Mohd Anas, who has got the best college in Uttar Pradesh in his sixth attempt.”
“Chairman Abdul Qadeer is here to establish branches in North after getting remarkable result from the South,” said Hafeez.
Karthik Reddy, who has secured 1st Rank in Karnataka and 9th rank in All India NEET exam, said, “First of all I would like to thank God for this amazing success and for giving me supporting parents and helpful teachers. Securing 9th rank at the national level and 1st in the State was not an easy task. It requires constant efforts. From class six onwards I wanted to qualify IIT and IAS but in High School I decided to become a doctor because I used to get a lot of inspiration after seeing doctors. They are always ready to serve the society more than any other professionals. Even during the pandemic, I have seen how important the role of doctors is. When I was enrolled in Shaheen Group, I was not confident and had no courage to seek admission in AIIMS but after securing All India 9th rank I can easily get admission in AIIMS which is no doubt 1st in India as per ranking. I got the confidence to achieve it because of the culture and environment I got at Shaheen Group of Institutions.”
Arbaaz Ahmed, a student of Shaheen Academy Bidar, who has secured 3rd rank in NEET in Karnataka, aids his father who is a truck driver and has been on bed after paralytic attack five years ago. His elder brother is also pursuing MBBS from a top medical college in Karnataka. Arbaaz, while addressing the press conference, said, “I am thankful to the Almighty for the success I have achieved. It was not possible without the support of Almighty, blessings from parents and support of Shaheen Academy and Dr Qadeer Sb who was always ready to help me. My father was always worried about our study and career. He therefore old his truck and spent on us and today I am very happy that I have qualified NEET.”
Karthik’s father B Rama Reddy, a professor in Guru Nanak Dev University, said Karthik had started his preparation when he was in 4th standard. He was a genius and was in the habit of asking questions. I am also professor in Mechanical Department in an Engineering College. He used to take part in national and international competitions and he had full edge in writing competitive exams. He had already topped the Indian Talent Competitive Examination conducted by the P. T. Usha Foundation. He had good command in Maths because I started his preparation for IIT and IAS in Delhi and my experience helped him a lot.”
Mohd Anas, who qualified NEET from Uttar Pradesh, said, “When I was in High School it was my dream to become a good doctor to serve the society and the country, especially the poor and the marginalised. At that point of time I was not even aware of NEET and the exams for MBBS. Even after passing secondary school and B.Sc., my concept was not clear but in 2017 I came to know about Shaheen Academy, then I came to know about NEET, how to prepare and today I thank Almighty, my parents and Shaheen Academy that I have qualified NEET and I can serve the people.”
