Our news channels have been going all-out in covering the Arushi double murder case by providing their own stupid analysis as well as giving a more-than-required coverage to boost their TRP ratings. There should be a law to prevent these sick media detectives from probing too much into the personal lives of individuals when such crimes are committed. Moreover, why don’t they use their so-called talent to investigate into the more heinous crimes like scams involving politicians, state-sponsored communal riots, caste-based atrocities against innocents, etc. Such cases are only offered coverage for 2-3 days after which they are blacked out. Is it that these channels are rewarded for highlighting some cases and also paid to prevent some from seeing the light of the day?
