SIO LAUNCHES MASSIVE CAMPAIGN IN CAMPUSES NATIONWIDE

Students Islamic Organisation of India (SIO) will launch a nationwide campaign in campuses and universities at the beginning of new academic year. The campaign entitled ‘Discovering Real Studenthood’ will be observed from July 16 to 31 or the first 15 days of opening of campus.  The campaign will speak loudly of vibrant student, creative campus, meaningful education and ideal society. It will aim to build evil-free campus, enriched with democratic environment wherein all students and groups have the freedom for constructive activities. At a time when student politics is considered synonym to destruction, SIO will try to debate as to what must be the aim of student politics. It also will raise serious questions on contemporary education, its content and reform. Students Charter, combating student issues, cultural eves, table talk, interfaith dialogue, open house, green campus efforts and class lectures will be conducted as part of the campaign. Programmes like Sanitation Awareness in Slum areas, Library Establishment in Muhallas, Sharing moments with disabled and old aged, Sponsorship of Orphans, Adopting a Child (for Education), Medical Check-up Camp, Eradicating Child Labour, etc. will be conducted outside campuses as part of the campaign.
