Malik Motasim Khan, Vice President, Jamaat-e-Islami Hindi, Ramees EK, National President of Students Islamic Organisation (SIO) and Abdul Shoib, Director, ParisarSamvad jointly launched the website of ParisarSamvad.

The website was launched at an event organized as part of the National Review Meet of SIO held in Vikarabad, Telangana on Thursday.

SIO of India recently initiated a discussion on the environment titled “ParisarSamvad” with the objective of understanding man’s symbiotic relationship with the environment and to explore solutions for the current environmental crisis.

It has planned a series of consultations with the experts. The first consultation was held on September 26, the theme of which was “Understanding the environmental crisis in India”.

ParisarSamvad is a platform which envisions building a holistic narrative on the environment through discussions, dialogue and deliberations. It endeavors to renew the commitment to the environment, to restore the balance and to reimagine the commitment.

“Since its inception it has been trying to contextualize the environmental catastrophe from an Indo-centric perspective and also trying to look at this phenomenon through different lenses, religion being one which is fundamental to its discourse. We were born out of the shared passion of a group of individuals who recognized the urgent need to protect and preserve our natural world,” reads the introduction on the website.

ParisarSamvad is driven by an unwavering commitment to create a sustainable and harmonious world where humanity and nature thrive together.

Its journey is guided by a profound mission: to address vital environmental issues and advocate for a higher quality of life for all living beings who share this beautiful planet.

“We envision a world where communities and ecosystems coexist in perfect harmony. In this world, clean air, pure water, and lush green spaces are not luxuries but fundamental rights accessible to all. Our vision is rooted in the belief that every small action can lead to a monumental change, and it is this belief that fuels our dedication to the cause. We want to provide a platform that aims to create a comprehensive narrative on the environment through discussions, dialogue, and deliberations. Our goal is to renew our commitment to the environment, restore balance, and reimagine our engagement with it.”

The objectives of ParisarSamvad include contextualizing environmental issues in the Indian Subcontinent, to promote faith-based discourse on the environment, to influence and initiate policies that promote sustainability and holistic growth, to promote research and projects rooted in sustainability and to provide an ecosystem for people interested in environment and environmental activism.
