The Association for Democratic Reforms has started a nationwide campaign, Know Your Neta, so as to give a voter full detail of his to-be-leader. The detail about a particular Neta will include information on the candidate’s party, number of criminal cases pending against him (if any), assets, liabilities and educational qualifications. So far the service is available for Delhi only, but hopefully the same will be provided within few days for all states as per the statement of an ADR spokesperson. The service will be available during non-election days as well.
If a voter in Delhi wants to get details of a Neta in his constituency, he is required to send a text message with content “MYNETA” space Pin code of the area or “MYNETA” space Delhi space constituency name to 9246556070 or to 56070. Mobile users can also dial *325# to access a menu-based information system.
