Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike will be conducting a Socio-economic and caste census in Karnataka. The survey will be conducted in November/December 2011. The survey will be done to get the social and economic status of the people living in the region, which would in turn help in making the policies for the uplift of the poor and needy people. It will reduce corruption and burden on the poor to prove their poverty. After Bangalore the survey will be carried out in all other parts of the country.
In order to fetch right people for the survey, BBMP has come up with the short term job notifications for census officers and supervisors. The remuneration for the census officer is Rs. 4500 for each enumeration block and hence for doing census of four blocks one can earn up to Rs. 18000. The remuneration for the supervisor is around Rs. 24000.
