The publication of recent special issue on Islamophobia by Radiance is exemplary and worth reading. It has touched upon more or less all the aspects of Islamophobia, like the myth, Indian and global perspective, challenges and pragmatic solutions. The editorial has rightly summarised the need of the hour to fight Islamophobia with kindness and compassion. The basic aim has to be understood behind the spread of Islamophobia which has been aptly opined in the Face-to-Face column. Almost all articles convey some quality message for all of us. There is a mindset and methodology behind the propaganda of Islamophobia with varied interest which requires to be responded accordingly.

A Creative Step towards Dynamic Magazine!
It refers to the “Islamophobia; Fact and Fiction” by Arshad Shaikh in the special issue (5-11 September 2014). It is something creative, unique and attractive in Radiance. It is more effective and useful than many articles. This modern age is more interested in something creative and unique rather than simple articles. The readership of a journal depends on its creativity and uniqueness. So, Radiance must follow the policy of creativity, uniqueness for making it a dynamic journal. It must intervene creatively in every burning issues of humanity.

Islamophobia, Plain and Simple
Going through the article entitled “Ghazwa-e-Hind” by Brig Anil Gupta (Organiser, August 17, 2014), I wondered the so-called latent threat to India that is Bharat is being translated from the fallout of turmoil now raging throughout the Muslim world in the name of America’s war against Islamic terror. I am sorry to say the author does not have preliminary knowledge of history of the Middle Ages, especially about the Muslim warfare conducted under Ghaznavi to Abdaali (1001-1756-76). All these armies originated from the Greater Khorasan.
If the prophesied ‘Ghazwa-e-Hind’ is to be historically located, we find that only one out of the six great wars, was fought against non-Muslim forces of the country. That the said only one war took place in the year 1193 and 1195, it is a fact that the Muslim power was established in the subcontinent only after that war. The subcontinent has now about five hundred million Muslims. Hence there is no more apprehension of any future ‘Ghazwa-e-Hind’ especially from that notorious neighbourhood which have fought and lost three times at our hands?
The writer, himself an army man, seems to be arousing his readers about the remote dangers. It is only Islamophobia, plain and simple. The cry initiated by the Brigadier resembles the story of a shepherd crying about the coming of the wolf!

Jayalalitha’s Plea for Bail
Jayalalitha’s plea for bail was rejected by the Karnataka High Court. Thus she continues her jail life in Parapana Agrahara Jail, where a man name Abdul Nasir Madani is also languishing.
Nine years ago Madani was in Coimbatore jail in connection with bomb blast in Coimbatore. But the Tamilnadu High Court ordered to free him because there was no evidence and the case was baseless. Yet again he was put in jail in connection with Bangaluru bomb blast case. The jail is Parapana Agrahara Jail.
