Three Christian members of the State Level Monitoring Committee on Prime Minister’s New 15-Point Programme complained that the government had done great injustice to the minorities by not conducting quarterly meetings of the committee as per rules. The members – Sampath Kumar, K. Sam Paul and C. Nageswara Rao – met Chief Secretary Pankaj Dwivedi, complaining that only four meetings of the committee were held so far since 2005 when it was constituted, instead of 20 as stipulated during this period. Also, the government, as a whole, and departments in the Secretariat had not sent quarterly progress reports to the Centre on implementation of schemes meant for minorities as required under an order.
