The article “IB Role in Encounters Exposed” by Syyed Mansoor Agha (Radiance Viewsweekly, 7-13 July) has done a great service by presenting the fact that IB’s involvement in fake encounters is not new. Batla House Encounter and Ishrat Jahan Fake Encounter are the instances of such involvement of the investigation agencies like IB. It shows that even in the higher posts there is a strong hold of the communal forces. The government should be serious and sternly deal with the fascist forces to get rid of such incidents and take the Muslims into confidence.
