Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Delhi & Haryana zone on 19 December condemned the recent case of gang rape in the capital and other such cases which are rising steeply in the country. It termed the incident as a crime against humanity and appealed to the government to book the culprits at the earliest. It further states that the punishment for this crime should be stringent enough to discourage the wrong-doers in future.
Islam stands for fast track crime detection and lays out harshest possible punishments so that it becomes deterrent for the criminals. The society should think of encouraging moral education so that the concept of accountability before Almighty Allah may permeate and this faith could serve as the basis for obliterating crimes from the minds of people.
