This refers to the ‘Indo-US Diplomatic Row’ in Radiance (29 December-4 January). The way Indian consular was treated in the US is highly condemnable. It is not the first time when an Indian diplomat was subjected to grave humiliation at the hands of arrogant security personnel in the US. They had not even felt any hesitation to frisk APJ Abdul Kalam and former diplomat Meera Kumari. I think this is because of our own yes-man attitude before America. Now they are frisking our diplomats at their soils and later they will come to India frisking our President and Prime Minister in our own country! How long this drama will go. India’s retaliation in the case of Devyani is not enough to deal with the situation. It was the same reaction when our former president was frisked? What has it brought? India should stop bowing to the US and only then it can stop such humiliation.
