Democracy is a symbol of multi-cultural diversity in any part of the world as it stands for diverse faiths and religions but to blame a particular section or religion for terrorism is against the values of democracy. It is not correct to accuse the whole community even if a person or some persons of that community are alleged to have committed some crime. It is improper to raise the finger of suspicion towards the entire Muslim community. Maulana Syed Jalaluddin Umri, President Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, said in an exclusive interview to Urdu daily Rashtriya Sahara. He further said that India is a civilised and democratic country. Muslims should not be victimised for unproved and unfounded acts of terrorism.
