Stop While You Can!

Recent events have put us in a position where decent, law-abiding citizens may well begin to think that the figurehead behind the recent segregationist actions will not have to face the legal consequences of his actions.

Recent events have put us in a position where decent, law-abiding citizens may well begin to think that the figurehead behind the recent segregationist actions will not have to face the legal consequences of his actions. This is indeed a sad day for India as a whole. Individual citizens have to live in fear of personal injury and loss. For the largest democracy in the world, these are sad times indeed when opinions need to be kept bottled up and national unity is thrown out of the window under the guise of providing better opportunities to a certain demographic. Beating up exam candidates and burning personal and public property are not the mark of a civilized people. I only hope that more people will realise that acing in this manner can only bring them shame and breed hate and mistrust. Stop while you can. Because once you pass the point of no return, you will most assuredly wish that you had never embarked on this road of self-destruction.
