Strictures by the Apex Court against Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for acquitting former UP Chief Minister Mayawati in infamous Taj-corridor case even when Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) found her guilty in the scam, proves CBI to be influenced in its working by political rulers as also endorsed by former CBI Chief Jogindersingh.

Same procedure should also be adopted in selecting new incumbents on other senior posts requiring impartiality rather than policy-implementation.
