Mosques in Britain continue to be targeted as racist graffiti, including Nazi-linked Swastikas, was painted on a Worcestershire mosque building on 26 June. A series of hate attacks has been targeted at mosques and Islamic institutions in the UK after the murder of British soldier Lee Rigby in Woolwich, southeast London, in May. Last week, a home-made bomb was found near a mosque at Walsall in West Midlands and a mosque in Redditch was plastered with racist graffiti.

Arson attacks were reported by Islamic boarding school, called Darul Uloom, on the outskirts of London and a north London mosque in Muswell Hill. The West Mercia police has started an investigation into a break-in a mosque in Redditch early on 26 June.  The damage at the mosque in Jinnah Road was caused between 2 am and shortly before 4.30 am when it was discovered by a targeted police patrol. The police is currently guarding the mosque, which is being constructed, and is carrying out local reassurance patrols.
