Today, we frequently witness disturbing incidents across our country that make our hearts bleed.

In some places, mosques are being demolished by bulldozers. Elsewhere, drums are beaten, dances are performed, and provocative demonstrations are held in front of mosques.

We hear reports of Muslims suffering loss of life and property during communal riots. Innocent people lose their lives in incidents of mob lynching. Islamic Shariah is ridiculed, while issues such as divorce, “Love Jihad,” Waqf properties, the Azan (call to prayer), Hijab, Halal practices, and Islamic madrasas are often portrayed in ways that spread misconceptions, hostility, and hatred.

Then what do we do?

We watch videos of these painful incidents on social media. We express our sorrow, share those videos, and sometimes even shed tears of grief.

And then, we go to bed and sleep peacefully.

The next morning, we wake up and begin complaining:

What our Islamic scholars doing?

What our Muslim intellectuals doing?

What our Muslim political leaders doing?

But today, the question is not for our Islamic scholars, not for our Muslim intellectuals, and not for our political leaders.

The question is for each one of us!

Have we ever personally approached our non-Muslim brothers and sisters and explained to them:

Who is a Muslim?

What is Islam?

What is the Quran?

Who is Prophet Muhammad ﷺ?

We expect people of other faiths to respect our mosques.

But have we ever invited them to visit a mosque?

Have we ever explained what a mosque truly represents?

If only we had opened the doors of our mosques to them and welcomed them with warmth and understanding!

Have we ever taken the initiative to explain:

Why is the Azan (call to prayer) given?

What is Wudu (ablution)?

What is Salah (prayer)?

What is fasting in Islam?

What is Zakat (obligatory charity)?

What is Hajj (pilgrimage)?

What is the true meaning and purpose of Islamic Shariah?

What is the real meaning of Jihad in Islam?

What is the Islamic concept of divorce?

Why does a Muslim woman wear the Hijab?

We have hardly made any effort to introduce Islam to others, yet we constantly complain: Why don’t people understand Islam?

Dear Readers!

Could it be that our negligence and failure to fulfill our responsibility of conveying the message of Islam have left the field wide open for forces hostile to Islam?

We often express our disappointment, saying:

If only Muslims had a strong and powerful leader!

But ask yourself one important question:

When we firmly believe that Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is the Last Messenger of Allah and the guide for all humanity, why are we searching for another guide?

We claim to have immense love for our beloved Prophet Muhammadﷺ.

But have we ever taken the time to read his complete Seerah (life and teachings)?

Have we introduced our children to the complete life, character, and teachings of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ?

No, have we?

True love is not merely about making claims. True love means knowing our beloved Prophet ﷺ, understanding his teachings, and following the path he showed us.

And now comes an even more important question:

What have we done with the Holy Quran?

We wrapped the Quran in a beautiful velvet cover, kissed it with reverence, treated it with utmost respect, and placed it on the highest shelf.

But have we ever made a sincere effort to understand its message?

Have we taught our children to read the Quran with its meaning and understanding?

If you have not yet been able to read and understand the Holy Quran with its meaning, then at least make an effort to distribute translations of the Quran and books on the Seerah of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ to others, so that they may have an opportunity to understand the true message of Islam.

Have we ever presented a translation of the Holy Quran in their own language to our non-Muslim neighbours and friends?

Just imagine!

If every Muslim family were to present a translation of the Holy Quran and a book on the Seerah (life and teachings) of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ to just one non-Muslim family, and if our mosques became not only places of worship but also centres for understanding Islam, how many misconceptions could be removed from people’s minds, and how many hearts could be reached with the message of Allah!

Dear Viewers!

Don’t just complain – take action!

Don’t just express anger – convey the message of Islam!

Don’t just show emotions – spread the message of the Holy Quran!
