Ordering tabut for Satya Sai Baba on April 4, 2011 much before his announced death on April 23, 2011 and controversial statements by certain prominent devotees alleging improper treatment to him, call for some sort of government-supervision on large assets and bank-balance left with the Sai Trust. Nobody can deny the fact that enormous wealth remaining with the Trust is public money generated out of mere devotion to Sai Baba who is now no more.

Sai Trust should name the devotee who had ordered for a tabut about 20 days before his announced death. It is not difficult because the company manufacturing the tabut can reveal identity of the person having ordered and paid for the tabut. In case Sai Trust does not take steps to reveal identity of the person, the Government becomes duty-bound to do so to clear the picture which has caused distrust for those around Sai Baba during his last days.
