A Ram temple in Bhopal, where the Malegaon blast accused Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur spent a night in April 2008 and allegedly hatched the blast conspiracy, got an ISO certification for a quality management system. Pt. Vishwamitra Sharma, Chairman of the Ram Mandir Trust, admitted that Pragya spent a night in a room meant for saints and that she addressed a meeting just outside the sanctum sanctorum. Neither Sharma nor Satyendra Jain, the Central India Associate of Orion Registrar, whose survey of the premises formed the basis of the certificate, thinks anything wrong with honouring a tainted temple with the ISO certification. The certificate was awarded to the temple for standardising the process of worship, facilities provided for devotees, quality management and transparent purchase system, Jain said adding that the temple had stuck to Vedic tradition.
