This is apropos of the interview of AMU-VC in Radiance (1-7 September). The full length interview of AMU VC is engaging especially at a time when the university has often been marginalised by the national media. The interview has raised multiple questions about the VC – a persona extraordinaire like his agreeing that it would be easier to handle the army but tough to control the adolescents in the university campus, though it remains an exciting experience to meet and listen to young minds.
This one conversation portrays his vision for the university and the ideas to transform the university into a complete modern one in line with other universities in the world. We could not come to know about the mind of this visionary administrator who has got excellent ability to live for academics as one who manages education system as per the current needs and so does he think out of box. The interview offers good information about the future plan of the oldest university, and we get to know the first hand information on developments in this seat of higher learning from its VC himself.
