Addressing a press conference at Rabindra Sadan, Kolkata, the self-exiled Bangladeshi controversial author Taslima Nasreen has recently passed a remark that the madrasas are producing and promoting terrorism (jihadis); hence these should not be allowed to exist.
Islam is the religion of peace and acts for peaceful co-existence of all people in society. It never teaches Muslims to involve in spreading mischief and unrest among people. The Holy Qur’an says: “Persecution is worse than slaughter” (2:191). Even Islam opposes taking a human life without a valid reason as stated in the Qur’an: “And slay not the life which Allah has made sacred except for just cause” (17:33, 6:151).Thus Islam has made the spread of mischief and senseless killing of a life prohibited (haram). So how can the madrasas which are imparting its students the teachings of the Qur’an and humanity produce terrorists for promoting mischief and slaughter in society?
If Taslima Nasreen has ever seen a madrasa radicalising its students, she should kindly point it out with adequate proofs. The Muslim society will surely ban it. Acquisition of knowledge on Islam (I’lm) is made compulsory (Farz) for every Muslim in Islam. Based on her allegation, if madrasas are banned, where will Muslims learn how to practise Islam and its tenets in life? Does she want to make Muslims de-Islamised?
Soon after her independence, the first big terrorism that happened in India was the murder of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation, carried out by a Hindu outlaw named Nathu Ram Godse on 30 January1948. Afterwards India continues to experience frequent terrorism till date.
There are many terrorist groups like ULFA, KLO, BLT,GNLF, MNF, etc. active in north-east region of India posing threat and danger to the nation. People in Assam have yet to forget the tragedy of serial bomb blasts in the state carried out by a terrorist group on 30 October2008. Are the members of these terrorist groups produced and promoted by a seminary?
It is an undeniable fact that communal violence is witnessed in India every year, destroying much more life and property than those destroyed in terrorist acts. If she is really thinking of India’s security and prosperity, she should raise her voice of concern against those extremist and communal groups spoiling peaceful co-existence among people.

‘Don’t waste our time’ – CJI
The Chief Justice of India Surya Kant, as he declined to give an urgent hearing to a petition raising the issue of Delhi police’s action against protesters of Cockroach Janta Party at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi,observed: “Don’t waste your time and don’t waste our time either.”
The CJI further clarified: “Your time is more valuable than ours.” A peculiar clarification by CJI! How can a person get justice?
The major controversy erupted last year.CJI Surya Kant, while hearing a case in the Supreme Court, compareda certain section of unemployed youth and individuals with fake degreesto ‘Cockroaches’and‘Parasites’ of society. This insult inspired a political communications graduate Abhijeet Dipke to launch aparty. And now, in different parts of India,the BJP government is facing the worst situation.As you sow, so shall you reap.

Please refer to an article titled “Why is RSS changing its Hardline Pakistan Policy?” by Mr. Abdul Bari Masoud vide Radiance Issue No.16, dated: 25th July, 2026.The learned writer has taken pains to analyse as to why RSS, a premier rightist organisation, is compelled to soften its policy towards Islam and Muslims.
The learned writer’s arguments are not plausible and convincing and does not stand the scrutiny.The very foundation on which RSS premises has been standing is Muslim hatred. It cannot deviate an inch from its ideology. How can it soften its thoughts towards Muslims when a depressed section of Hindus (i.e. Dalits) are not acceptable to them?
So, the RSS changing its hardline policy is nothing but a trap. It is one of the ways to strengthen its hands. Track-2, Track-1.5 or Track-3 – interactions are not going to yield any positive and constructive results. It is a zero-sum game.
