Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, his Deputy Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, several ministers, leaders of Congress and eminent personalities from various walks of life participated in Eid al-Fitr celebrations at the residence of senior Congress leader and advisor to the state government Mohammed Ali Shabbir in Hyderabad on April 12.
In a display of communal harmony, the Congress leaders and representatives of various organisations came together to commemorate the joyous occasion.
The Chief Minister joined Shabbir and his family members in the Eid celebrations. He shared some light-hearted moments with them and also relished traditional Eid delicacies, including Sheer Khorma.
Shabbir later hosted about 150 guests. They included Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar, Ministers Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, D Sridhar Babu and Ponnam Prabhakar and AICC Telangana in-charge Deepa Dasmunsi.
Jamaat-e-Islami Telangana president Dr MKM Zafar, Jamiat-ul-Ulema-e-Hind Telangana & AP Secretary-General Hafiz Peer Khaleeq Ahmed Sabir, Moulana Jaffer Pasha Hussami, Tahreek Muslim Shabban President Mohammed Mushtaq Mallik, Imam of Makkah Masjid Hafiz Mohammed Rizwan Qureshi, and representatives of Ahle Hadees attended the get-together.
