Most unfortunate, most condemnable. We, like every sane person who values human life and is against violence, do categorically condemn it. Our sympathies go with those who lost their lives and those injured and their families. May Allah have mercy upon them. Some questions pop up. Why do such incidents happen at election times? Pulwama happened just before 2019 general elections. Nobody was punished. Nobody knows how several hundred kilos of RDX was brought to the site of that ghastly incident, which caused death of our forty valiant army men.
Why this latest blast happened just on the eve of Bihar Assembly elections? Only a fair investigation can reveal whether the doctor who is being accused is the real culprit or there is a well-knit gang of hardened criminal?The real culprits must be brought to justice and exemplary punishment must be given to them.
Seasoned journalists are asking: Has this blast something to do with Kashmir politics? Will some heads roll there? Has it anything to do to destabilise the present government in J&K? Only time will answer this. Will it be used to delay statehood to Jammu & Kashmir?
This blast is being used to target the Muslim community in many ways. It may be used to close the recently established Al-Falah University. It is being used to eliminate some people. The house of the accused doctor has been bulldozed. Did it belong to the said terrorist doctor or to his father or some other relative? It is not known. There is no much coverage in the press. This is another example of Israeli atrocity of bulldozer justice which is becoming the trade mark of BJP governments in several states. No need to say that only Muslims are facing this atrocity.
Some renowned journalists have been asking some questions. Why PM Modi, instead of visiting the blast site, preferred to go to Bhutan to attend the birthday celebration of Bhutan king? They reminds us that the Prime Minister’s house is just 3 to 4 km. from the blast site. They also remind us about the contrast withthe terror attack in Mumbai, known as 26/11 of India. The then PM Manmohan Singh addressed the nation, ordered NIA investigation and promised strict action. This time no such address to the nation by PM Modi. After the 26/11 attack, the very next day Mr.Modi, then Chief Minister of Gujarat, rushed to Mumbai and demanded strict and urgent action against the culprits. He addressed the press standing infront of the Taj Hotel. Journalists ask why no such action this time?
Close to 26/11 attack there was an attack on the Amarnathyatra. The local villagers caught the culprits and photographed the incident. Then willy-nilly the government ordered an enquiry.Later on, it was revealed that the fascist party of India was behind that attack. No action was taken against the conspirators.
It appears that nobody is concerned aboutthe national security and lapses in monitoring and surveillance. This is what the politicians do. We can understand the difference between politicians and statesmen. A politician thinks of the next election and a statesman thinks of the next generation and the future of the country. For politicians, power and popularity are uppermost. We don’t know when we will have a stateman at the helm of affairs in India. Let us pray and strive for those achche din.
