Reacting to Prime Minister’s remark that Khaleda Zia will not be able to gain the trust of the mass people with her destructive activities, the Bangladesh opposition BNP on 16 May called on the government to participate in election under caretaker government to prove it (govt) has popularity among people.

BNP spokesman Shamsuzzaman Dudu made the call at a press briefing at BNP’s Nayapaltan central office in the evening. Dudu, also an adviser to BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia, was critical of the Prime Minister’s remarks that BNP has no popularity as it has created chaos in the country in the name of movement, saying the comment is indecent.
