The Gay Threat

At the 17th International Conference on AIDS in Mexico City, Union Health Minister Anbumani Ramadoss advocated that homosexuality be legalised in India. “Section 377 of the IPC, which criminalises men who have sex with men, must go,” announced the minister. “Structural discrimination against those who are vulnerable to HIV such as sex workers and men having sex with men must be removed if our prevention, care and treatment programmes are to succeed,” he said at the summit. Gay advocacy groups are delighted and said that: “Scrapping Section 377 is just the first step. We’ll have to collectively work to change society’s mindset against gays and lesbians.”

Homosexuality refers to sexual behaviour with an attraction to people of the same sex, or to a homosexual orientation. As a sexual orientation, homosexuality refers to “an enduring pattern of or disposition to experience sexual affection, or romantic attractions primarily to” persons of the same sex.

The traditional view holds that homosexuality is an aberration, the orientation is a disorder, and the behaviour is pathological. However with changing social norms and the development of a politically active gay community in the United States, the Board of Directors of the American Psychiatric Association in 1973 decided to remove homosexuality from the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM). It was a huge success for the gay community who could now openly advocate their view that homosexuality is a normal variant in the human condition that is determined before birth and that homosexual behaviour is natural for those so oriented.

From being criminalised, hated and punished; homosexuals have slowly but steadily built up their power. Gay advocacy groups are active in almost every country and are pushing lawmakers to legalise homosexuality. Same sex marriages are next on their agenda and they do not tolerate any employment discrimination. Gay parades in major cities are a routine affair and they have even managed to force the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) to grant consultative status to two NGOs that advocate lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender rights.

AIDS is by far most common among the homosexual population in the United States, primarily because the type and frequency of sexual contact and combined with STDs, is the perfect method of spreading a body-fluid borne virus. Public health records demonstrate that homosexuals, representing 2 per cent of America’s population, suffer vastly disproportionate percentages of several of America’s most serious STDs, with incidences among homosexuals of diseases like gonorrhoea, syphilis, hepatitis A and B, cytomegalovirus, shigellosis, giardiasis, amoebic bowel disease and herpes far exceeding their presence in the general population. These are due to common homosexual practices that include fellatio, anilingus, digital stimulation of the rectum and ingestion of urine and faeces. Lesbians show similar patterns of high venereal disease incidence relative to the general population.

Homosexuality destroys the lives of women whose husbands leave them in pursuit of this perversion and they, in turn, try to find a way to satisfy their sexual needs. It is a fierce attack on progeny and pregnancy, which is the defining process for continuity of the human race. In Sweden, the Feminist Initiative, a new political party, has already essentially called for the abolition of marriage as the next step of “progress” in their nation, promoting instead “a cohabitation law that ignores gender and allows more than two people in a partnership.” The corrupting and corroding influence of such blasphemous ideas will lead to disastrous consequences if allowed to go unchecked.

Islam goes with the rule that opposites attract and that Allah the Almighty created man and woman to propagate the human species. For one to be sexually attracted to someone of the same sex is a deviation from this rule. This is why Allah says in the Holy Qur’an (26: 165-166) with reference to the People of Lot, who were indulging in homosexual acts at the time,  “Of all the creatures in the world, will ye approach males, And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your mates? Nay, ye are a people transgressing (all limits)!” Allah thus considers such activities to be a transgression. The Qur’an says that the people of Lot were the first people to contrive this vice. The world had been free of such a grave sin since the beginning of time. “Ye do commit lewdness, such as no people in Creation (ever) committed before you.” (Qur’an 29: 28).
