“The Hindu” published a news report ‘I lost my dad to bullets, but Kashmir has given me 2 brothers’ (April 25) which comes as a whiff of fresh air amidst the cacophony of the daily late-night debates on the electronic media on the brutal attack on the innocent tourists in Pahalgam.
A leading print media house has published the Front-page headline “Kalma saved him” which is bound to create hatred towards the Muslims. It is very unfortunate that, far from discussing the measures to bring all the people to rally behind the nation to fight terrorism, the media houses are building the Hindu-Muslim narrative.

No one is Forced to Accept Islam
Every Indian Muslim strongly condemns the horrific terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.
The Holy Qur’an, Surah Al-Ma’idah (Chapter 5, Verse 32) says:“Whoever kills a person – unless in retribution for murder or spreading corruption in the land – it is as if he had slain all mankind. And whoever saves a life, it is as if he had saved all mankind.”
The Holy Qur’an, Surah Al-Baqarah (Chapter 2, Verse 256) says:“There is no compulsion in religion. The right path has become distinct from the wrong.”Meaning: No one is forced to accept Islam.

Why Muslims are Held Accountable, Always?
Why is it that after every terrorist attack Muslims have to prove their loyalty towards the Nation which their ancestors have struggled to build and fought alongside others to rid it of foreign invaders.
The attack of Pahalgam as well as similar attacks of the past has nothing to do with the tenets of Islam. Killing civilians is a dastardly act and definitely tars the image of Islam and Muslims alike.
Even the resistance fighters of the Middle East are not targeting civilians, though the enemies of humanity are targeting civilians in thousands.
So, it can be concluded without an iota of doubt that the attackers are not humans, let alone being Muslims. So why should the 25% population be held accountable.
Why we shouldn’t doubt the evil forces in carrying out this monstrous act, after all the evil forces can go to any lengths to divide the society along religious lines just for political gain. Their track record shows exactly that.

‘Betrayal in the Face of Unity’
I invite your kind attention to an article published under the heading “Betrayal in the Face of Unity: A Reflection on Sectarian Silence Amid the Waqf Amendment Act” vide Issue No. 4 of Radiance dated 3rd May 2025 by Mr. Y.A. Mohamed of the USA. I fully agree with him and compliment him for calling a spade a spade.
When entire the Muslim community with the support of other minorities and like-minded people are opposing Waqf (Amendment) Act 2025 and filing petitions in the apex court, a section ofDawoodiBohras supports the regime and compliments him for the implementation of the said Bill.
In 2002, post-Godhra riots in Gujarat, the entire Muslim community and other secular forces raised their voice for the persecuted Muslims, Dr.SaiyednaMufaddalSaifuddindid not utter a single word and kept deafening silence. He invited PM Modi and gave him a red carpet honour during Muharram sermons a few years ago.
From the above, it can be seen that Dr.Saiyedna has always taken Anti-Muslim stand. His name will be written in black letters in the Islamic History.
Dr.Saiyedna’s actions should be condemned in the strongest possible terms by all secular forces.
