The brave people of Palestine, not only men but also women and children, have been writing with their blood the story of the highest valor and fearlessness. This is happening in the Gaza Strip, the largest concentration camp on earth, where Israel has been writing the blood-smeared story of genocide. This is the most brutal genocide of the 21st century. This is also happening on a lesser level in the Occupied West Bank, at the hands of blood-thirsty IDF troops and several lakh equally atrocious illegal settlers.

The death toll in Gaza exceeds 33,000 civilians, more than half of whomare innocent children and women. And in the West Bank,it crossed the mark of 700. The UNRWA and other relief agencies have lost more than 200 workers, the latest being the 7 volunteers belonging to the UK, Australia, Poland, etc. who were trying to provide food to the starving victims of genocide.

The so-called champion of liberty, the USA is steady in its support for the terrorist state. It has been sending weapons of mass destruction steadily to the Israeli war machine. Canada, bowing to its citizens’ pressure, recently stopped its arms supply to Israel. The UK always plays second fiddle to the US and loves to be a partner in manslaughter, as was seen in the anti-Iraq war in 1990. There are more partners and associates in this genocidal war among the European arms manufacturing countries.

The US, not because of any moral principle but because of worldwide protests and condemnation agreed not to use its veto against the call to enact a ceasefire in Gaza. But to the surprise of the world, the genocide is continuing with the old ferocity. The International Court of Justice (ICJ) also failed to give any verdict that could stop the infamous genocide in Gaza.

One saving grace is the millions of common citizens who are protesting against the war in every city in Europe and the Americas. Women are in the majority in all these protests. This trend brings to light the basic goodness of human nature, especially in the womenfolk. This must be welcomed and promoted by one and all. This will put an end to wars in the world. This is the hope of humanity in Ukraine, in Palestine, in Sudan and everywhere else.

At the same time, the rulers, kings and dictators of the Muslim world must search their hearts and think what they have done to extinguish the fire of war and destruction in Gaza. Also, what have they done for war-torn Sudan where in civil war up to now about 18,000 people have died and about 80 lakh people are displaced? According to the UNO, Sudan is suffering from 90 percent food insecurity and is on the brink of starvation. OIC should think what it did to extinguish the fire of war and death in Yemen and Syria. What Allah has bestowed upon humanity is more than enough to bring down a heaven of peace and prosperity on earth. In spite of knowledge, science, technology and unlimited resources, why is there war, conflict, poverty, and destruction?

The whole of humanity, and in particular the Muslim world must prepare itself to evolve a new world of hope, peace, prosperity and those things which humanity deserves and morality demands. With a broken heart, we raise our heads to pray to Allah to save humanity and give it new vision and courage to move towards that peaceful world.
