“They know very well, who is the real culprit behind all these blasts in the country, but they don’t want to arrest them,” said Qari Mueenuddeen, convener of Rajasthan Muslim Forum. “How can they get away merely alleging some foreign organisations? What are they doing with their entire machinery? After all, they are responsible for this country’s security,” he said while addressing a press conference in Jaipur on August 1. “Whenever the elections are near hand, such incidents occur and the elections are won on the basis of polarisation,” he added.

Once again the country has rocked after the recent serial bomb blasts in Bangalore and Ahmedabad. The incidents were unanimously condemned as they deserved to be. Rajasthan Muslim Forum also condemned the heinous acts. The Forum is of the opinion that these blasts are part of a conspiracy being carried out to weaken our country and shatter our society. There are some organisations in our country itself that want to weaken our country by hate-mongering and destroying harmony and brotherhood.

What is more serious and worrying is that the enemies of peace are making blasts after blasts for a long time and we are unable to nab them. Our police and intelligence agencies are fulfilling their ‘duty’ by arresting the innocent Muslims and detaining them illegally in the name of investigation while the actual criminals are still at large and engaged in their conspiracies.

“Our country is a prey to conspiracies; the MOSSAD and the CIA are active in our country and ‘guiding’ our police. We must keep vigil over the activities of these agencies,” said Engineer Mohammad Salim, State President Jamaat-e-Islami Hind. “Why these blasts are occurring in the BJP ruled states only?” he asked, talking to the media men. He said that the sad aspect of our investigating agencies’ efforts is that they are working on the presumption that only Muslims can be the culprits, hence dubiously moving in that direction. They should consider all possibilities and investigate impartially. They should keep the incidents of Nanded, Thane and South India in mind, where the Sangh Parivar activists were found behind the blasts. “You cannot combat terrorism without taking the 15 crore Muslims of the country into confidence,” he said.

The Forum demanded from the government to take necessary steps to nab the real culprits behind these blasts, keeping all possibilities under consideration and to try to abolish fear and sense of insecurity from the minds of the Muslim community. The Forum also appealed to the public to assist the investigating agencies in finding out the actual perpetrators as the problem concerns every citizen of the country.
