Some industrialists have given their opinion to have Mr. Narendra Modi, chief minister of Gujarat as future Prime Minister. In a democratic country like India everyone has equal right to give his or her views, said Er. Mohammad Saleem, State President Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) Rajasthan on January 17.

“I am surprised to note that our big industrialists could see only one face of Mr. Modi, that is development, which is also not completely true, but they were unable to see the ugly face with blood stains of more than two thousand innocent citizens of India due to which we as a nation were ashamed in front of the world community,” he added.

Mr. Saleem further said it is unfortunate that due to opportunistic politics he is continuing as an elected Chief Minister rather than being behind the bars. He was of the opinion that we are fortunate to have democracy as compared to many of our neighbouring countries, though it is not strong enough to deliver justice to the oppressed.

He said, “We have to strive hard to strengthen the democratic values and I am hopeful that a day will certainly come, when we shall be able to prove that our nation is strong enough to bring people like Modi to justice. In my opinion, Mr. Modi is a criminal and we consider him responsible for state sponsored terrorism which resulted in the genocide of more than two thousand Muslims in Gujarat in 2002. We are very much for development as the Ambanis and Tatas are but we want development for all and with peace and justice. Development with hatred and bloodshed cannot be accepted at any cost for a stronger India.”

“It would be a very unfortunate day for the nation when a person like Modi becomes Prime Minister. His right place in my opinion is behind the bars,” he added.
