The Allied powers, particularly Britain and France, initially allowed Nazi Germany to grow by adopting a policy of appeasement, hoping to avoid another large-scale war after the devastation of World War I. Despite Hitler’s aggressive moves, such as the reoccupation of the Rhineland, the annexation of Austria, and the occupation of Czechoslovakia, these nations hesitated to take firm action, hoping diplomacy would contain Germany’s ambitions. This reluctance only emboldened Hitler, allowing Nazi Germany to expand unchecked. By the time the Allies recognized the full extent of the threat, Germany had become a formidable power, plunging Europe into the catastrophic conflict of World War II.
History has repeated itself, with the West once again creating a “Frankenstein Monster” in the form of State of Israel. It is a rogue nation, not ready to accept any international humanitarian laws and war norms. It practices settler colonialism, apartheid, illegal usurpation and occupation of sovereign land and has been waging a “war of terror” on civilian populations, its neighbouring countries and all political opponents. The biggest tragedy of our era is that Israel appears to have strangled Europe and America into total submission who remain mute spectators to its reign of terror.
Eliminating High Profile Targets
At the time of writing, Israel has managed to assassinate Hezbollah Chief Hasan Nasrallah. This is a huge victory for Israel and may alter the current conflict for a long time to come. After the October 7 attack on Israel by Hamas, several key political and military leaders from Hezbollah (Lebanon), Hamas (Palestine), and Iran have been killed in Israeli strikes. Besides Hassan Nasrallah, those killed include Ismail Haniyeh (former Prime Minister of the Palestinian National Authority and Hamas political chief), Ibrahim Qubaisi (in-charge of Hezbollah’s rocket division), Ibrahim Aqil (Hezbollah Jihad Council), Ahmed Wahbi (commander of Radwan special forces), FuadShukr (a close associate of Nasrallah and one of Hezbollah’s top commanders), Muhammad Nasser (Southern Lebanon Operations), Taleb Abdallah (senior field commander of Hezbollah), Mohammed Deif (one of the founders of the Qassam Brigades), Saleh al-Arouri (Deputy Hamas chief and founder of Hamas military wing).
Additionally, two senior Iranian officials, Mohammad Reza Zahedi (Quds Force commander), and his deputy Mohammad HadiHajriahimi, were killed in an Israeli strike in Damascus. The level of awe and dread that the Zionist regime now commands in the region can be gauged by the fact that immediately after Nasrallah’s assassination, Ali Khamenei (Iran’s Supreme Leader) was reportedly moved to a safe location in Iran, fearing an imminent attack on him by Israel.
Pager blasts in Lebanon
In a series of terrorist attacks (which Israel would label covert operations), Israel detonated hundreds of explosive-laden pagers and walkie-talkies across Lebanon, targeting Hezbollah operatives and causing widespread civilian casualties. The attacks, which began on September 17, led to the deaths of at least 37 people, including children, and injured nearly 3,000 others. The explosions were part of a larger campaign by Israel to cripple Hezbollah’s communication networks and demonstrate its superior military and intelligence prowess. Technologically, the operation showcased a new level of sophistication in asymmetric warfare. Israel reportedly concealed the explosives inside the lithium batteries of the pagers, making them virtually undetectable. This represents a dangerous progression in the use of everyday communication devices as weapons, further complicating efforts to protect civilians in conflict zones.
The pagers, sourced from a Taiwanese company, Gold Apollo, were distributed through a complex supply chain involving Hungarian and Bulgarian firms, highlighting the global scale of the operation. Many countries have condemned the attacks, and international bodies, including the UN, have raised alarms over the potential violations of international humanitarian law. Specifically, Israel’s use of booby traps disguised as harmless devices, banned under the 1996 UN Protocol II, was a gross breach of war norms. Unfortunately, the international community is still grappling with how to address this dangerous precedent in modern warfare. No power seems to have the courage to call this operation a terrorist attack and confront Israel politically, diplomatically or militarily. The result is the massacre of thousands of innocent lives, all under the name of “right to self-defence” and protecting “democracy” in the Middle East.
Mossad’s handiwork
Mossad, officially known as The Institute for Intelligence and Special Operations is the national intelligence agency of Israel. Established on December 13, 1949, it is responsible for intelligence collection, covert operations, and counter-terrorism. Mossad operates as part of Israel’s intelligence community, working alongside Aman (military intelligence) and Shin Bet (internal security). The director of Mossad reports directly to the Prime Minister of Israel, having direct accountability to the country’s highest political office. With an annual budget of approximately US$2.73 billion and a workforce of around 7,000, Mossad is one of the largest espionage agencies in the world.
Initially formed to improve cooperation among Israel’s security services, it became part of the Prime Minister’s office in 1951, leading some to describe its structure as resembling a “deep state.” Over the years, Mossad has conducted several high-profile covert operations. These include Operation Entebbe in 1976, which involved providing intelligence for the rescue of hostages in Uganda, and the 1960 abduction of Nazi leader Adolf Eichmann from Argentina for trial in Israel.
Other notable operations include the defection of an Iraqi pilot with a MiG-21 aircraft in 1966 (Operation Diamond), the 1984 evacuation of Ethiopian Jews from Sudan (Operation Moses), and the 1988 assassination of Fatah leader Khalil al-Wazir in Tunisia.
More recent operations include the 2018 infiltration of a secret nuclear archive in Tehran, and the suspected assassinations of Hezbollah leader Imad Mughniyah in 2008 (in Damascus) and Hamas commander Mahmoud al-Mabhouh in 2010 (in Dubai, UAE). These operations show Mossad’s extensive global reach and its focus on terror, espionage, targeted killings, and strategic intelligence gathering.
The world must act now
The acts of terror committed by Israel is well-documented and yet no effective action is taken against it. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ once predicted, “Soon, the nations will invite one another to devour you (the Muslim Ummah), as diners devour a dish. Someone asked: Because of our small number, then? He ﷺ replied: No, you are numerous then, but you will be like froth on a torrent. Allah will remove reverence of you from the hearts of your enemy, and He will cast enfeeblement into your hearts. Someone asked: What is this enfeeblement? The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied: “Love of the world and hatred of death.” (Sunan Abu Dawud).
The world must act now against the nation that is actually the greatest threat to global peace and security. Wait and watch is no longer an option.
