Think Globally and Act Locally!

Just as “little drops of water make the mighty ocean”, any change however massive should start with reform of the individual’s character.

Just as “little drops of water make the mighty ocean”, any change however massive should start with reform of the individual’s character.

All great movements in human history, as even the missions of all prophets of Islam, right from Adam to Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be to them), who was entrusted with the final version, till the Doomsday, of the divine law, started with appropriate actions, by lone person like the process of a nuclear chain reaction set off by a single particle, resulting in the release of multiple particles, each of which releases further reactive particles.

Even when Almighty Allah said to the angels: “I will create a vicegerent on earth….” (2:30), angels apprehended spread of mischief and bloodshed. The Qur’ān affirms that the ‘different races, colours and languages of humanity are symbols of Allah’s creation and superior among men being those more righteous in conduct.’

Allah declares, “O mankind! Revere your Guardian-Lord, Who created you from a single Person, created, of like manner, his mate, and from them twain scattered (like seeds) countless men and women; reverence Allah, through Whom you demand your mutual (rights), and (reverence) the wombs (that bore you): for Allah ever watches over you (4:1).”

Thus, there remains no room for discrimination on any grounds whatsoever among people of the world, where we see today, killing of innocents on flimsy grounds and subsequent blame games. Truth, nonviolence, tolerance and pluralism free from indiscrete use of freedom of expression are need of the hour.

Unfortunately the puppets of Zionism seem bent on instigating insults on the person of the Holy Prophet, whose followers are ordered by the almighty Allah not to abuse even false deities of opponents of Islam (lest the latter should retaliate by abusing, in ignorance, Allah himself).

The cure to the present degeneration in ethical conduct of societies lies in corrective actions starting locally before spreading globally. We learn about spreading agitations and protests by the economically, socially, politically and legally exploited classes often suppressed by iron hand of governments.

Delhi’s chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, in his swearing-in speech, declared that arrogance be abhorred and that he wants his efforts for next five years concentrated on the state of Delhi.

Crime and corruption which is spreading as a universal phenomenon in all walks of life, can’t be contained in isolation by considering states or even nations as water tight compartments. While Delhi can be showcased as a model state by ‘thinking globally and acting locally’ from immediate and practical point of view; all preventive and corrective actions for self rule as envisaged by AAP are relevant for thinking as well as action in the entire country.

The rise of politics free from money, media and mafia, in contrast to the outdated western thinking that ‘everything is fair in politics, war and love’, shall spell death-knell to the spate of imposters raising their heads in every nook and corner of political arena.
