M.K. Stalin Says BJP Dismantling Constitution

Posting a message on social media after paying homage to Dr. Ambedkar on his birth anniversary on April 14, DMK president and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin said the BJP is perilously intent on dismantling the constitution. India is on the brink of the most critical election in its history. It is the solemn duty of every citizen to safeguard the beacon of democracy ignited by Dr. Ambedkar.

“We must rally behind the profound wisdom and enduring spirit of Dr. B.R.Ambedkar, the new-age Buddha, to secure a truly egalitarian society,” he said.

In another social media post, the chief minister denied the claim of state BJP president K. Annamalai that the union government had provided Rs. 10.76 crore to Tamil Nadu government in the last 10 years. Without referring to Mr. Annamalai’s name, the DMK president said the union government had provided only 5.6 crore to Tamil Nadu government as its share in direct taxes while under the same allotment, the Union Government provided Rs.18.5 crore to Uttar Pradesh, he said, adding that Tamil Nadu is contributing several lakhs crore as tax to the union government. Mr. Stalin said the union government had given false accounts for the fund allotted to the schemes undertaken by it in Tamil Nadu. He said, “The entire country has to unite to save the constitution.”

Keep cyber criminals at bay

Cyber fraudsters are becoming bolder and bolder with a techie now falling prey to their evil designs and losing more than Rs.2 crore in the process. How can such fraud be prevented? Cops should obtain the services of cyber experts to devise innovative means to stop such crimes from happening in the first place.

Intensive awareness campaigns should also be launched among the general public and also in educational institutions on the need for a vigil to prevent such incidents from happening. Simple techniques should be taught so that people who feel they are being targeted by cybercriminals, can adopt them to keep such elements at bay.

The hypocrisy of the US

The US again proved that it is not an honest broker of the Middle East conflict by vetoing the ‘Palestine’s UN membership bid’.

On the one hand, it is parroting about ‘two-state solution’, and on the other it vetoed the membership bid of Palestine. This double-dealing exposes the hypocrisy of the US.

Twelve countries voted for it, two countries abstained, and the US stood alone in blind support for Israel. Though not at all surprising, as to what it did to the ceasefire resolutions in the past.

But this kind of unconditional support to Israel is isolating it even further in the eyes of the world.
