I was taken aghast when I read the news of loot and burglary by sadhus and so-called religious men in the flooded area of Uttarakhand. Even a regular burglar would have felt shame to do so in the very time when people were running from pillar to post to save their lives. These few ‘heartless beasts’ in the mask of religious men are thugs and stains on the pristine name of religion. They may be seen within the ambit of any religion. A common man must differentiate between the thugs and the real religious men before relying upon them.
