After getting her anti-Muslim poem published in the monthly magazine of Mumbai Police, ‘Sanwad’, Sujata Patel, a traffic inspector in Mumbai, said on 16 January that she felt no sorrow or grief on her poem. She said she was ready to apologise if the poem had hurt the sentiment of someone but she felt no sorrow on composing her poem and getting it published in the magazine.
Patel had composed a poem on the incident of Azad Maidan in Mumbai and called the agitators rebels and snakes and demanded to cut their hands. The poem was published in the November issue of Sanwad and invited a huge demonstration from Muslim side.
