Some youths arrested for their alleged involvement in a bomb blast on July 5, 2005 in Ayodhya have written to the President of India, requesting him to transfer their hearing from a closed door room in high security cell of Naini jail to the public court. They accused the judge of using abusive language and threatening the witnesses.

They mentioned, in their letter to the President, that they have been kept in a high security cell of Naini jail for about seven years and not a single witness against them has been presented in the court yet. They said the Investigation Officer writes his own statements and make the witnesses sign the same. They also demanded removal of the sitting judge as he is biased and his judgment might not be free from bias.

Advocate MS Khan, their counsel, said that he had forwarded their letter to the President of India, Chief Justice of India, the Prime Minister of India  and Advocate General of Uttar Pradesh.
