Now that jailed Gujarat police officer Vanzara himself has spilled the beans and come out with several ‘aspects’ of the encounter killings in Gujarat, it is high time that the Judiciary take suo moto control over this matter and ensure that the so-called “powerful” people of Gujarat are brought to book immediately.
Too many years have been wasted allowing these criminals to run amok. By his own words Vanzara does not deny his own guilt but that he and his colleagues were acting on “orders”. He very strongly states, “I am of the firm opinion that the place of this government, instead of being in Gandhinagar, should either be in Taloja Central Prison at Navi Mumbai or in Sabarmati Central Prison at Ahmedabad” the bottom line is that, slowly but surely, truth and justice will triumph in Gujarat.
