During President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s visit, Turkish private companies signed 26 agreements in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). These agreements covered many sectors, most notably energy, health, information technologies, real estate, and food. Its commercial impacts are expected to be seen in the short term.

President Erdoğan’s recent Gulf tour also established new relationships between the Gulf states and the Turkish business world.

During his visits, President Erdoğan presented the leaders of these countries with a gift of special significance, Tog cars made in Türkiye, as a model of Turkish products on the one hand, and a message of strengthening bilateral ties with the leaders of these countries.

Türkiye and Qatar’s relations have gone through a decade of development, during which the two countries have benefited from each other. It seems that at this stage there will be greater development of Türkiye’s relations with both Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, as is evident by the rapid UAE and Saudi openness for investments in Türkiye.

We believe that Türkiye, which is making efforts to strengthen its economy, has placed itself regionally at the heart of the diversification plans which the three Gulf countries are looking for. This will enable it to open up more regional and international opportunities. In this new phase, Türkiye is avoiding any unnecessary conflicts, such as which were seen during the times of tension. They have given the opportunity to other parties such as Greece and South Cyprus to benefit.
