Mr. Robert Mugabe, the Zimbabwean President, who is to step down in 2008, has been granted rights by the ruling party to govern the country up to 2010 ostensibly to harmonise Presidential poll with the Parliamentary election  slated for 2010. Mugabe’s ruling Zanu-PF Party has endorsed his decision to push back presidential elections to give the long time leader more years in power without even the node from the parliament or through a referendum or by suitable constitutional amendment for the same. USA and Europe making a big hue and cry over lack of democracy in other parts of the world, particularly in Islamic world, do not bother much about that in Africa. Is it, then, Africa’s fault that it does not possess sufficient energy resources?
