The already tarnished image of UP police is botched up once again. This time it happened in the Farukhabad district of UP. Four police officers have been suspended for allegedly gang raping the woman who had gone there to meet her husband, undergoing his term in jail for life imprisonment. The detainee RajveerKatheria hails from Puri, and is completing his sentence of life imprisonment for raping his cousin since 2008. Rajveer’s wife Seema received a call from the police officer that his husband is unwell; hearing this Seema rushed to the jail to meet him, but as that day was a holiday, Janmashtmi, she could not meet her husband and decided to spend the night in the meeting room in order to meet her husband next day.
However one of the policemen bluffed and ditched her that he will take her to her husband but instead took her to his place where his other associates were present, and raped her and then made the video clip of the horrific incident to blackmail her. The jail superintendent, after the conversation with Seema, suspended all the four policemen and sent the information to the district magistrate.
