The double standard of the United States lies exposed as it has extended unconditional support to Israel to perpetrate acts of Genocide on the helpless and hapless Gazans.

Mr. Blinken, US Secretary of State visited Israel and other Arab states to find a diplomatic solution. The US embarked on direct attack in Yemen against the Houthis, who are disrupting the Maritime trade route in the Red Sea.

Why didn’t they first try any diplomatic solution with the Houthis? Like the five visits of Blinken to Israel, why not at least once to Sana? No, but they thought it better to just bomb Sana.

This shows the double standards of the US.

Enact Laws to Contain Defections

It is most disgraceful that MLAs and MPs are defecting to the ruling BJP party. Ashok Chavan, Milind Deora, Jagdish Shetter, Kamalnath, and Manish Tiwari are expected to follow suit. It is very much disgraceful for those who desert the party after having been groomed by the party.

The ruling party has specialized in chasing the opposition leaders with the ED, CBI, IT Dept, etc.,and giving them safe havens in the party, pardoning their past sins. It is a win-win situation. While the corrupt defectors are enjoying safe havens, the BJP is decimating the opposition and increasing their tally through unfair means. To end this menace, the Parliament shouldenact laws requiring a defector to immediately resign and seek a fresh mandate for legitimacy.

Why Palestine Rejected Israel’s post-war plan for Gaza

24 February 2024

Why has the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates rejected Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s post-war plan for the Gaza Strip? The Palestinian Ministry says that it has rejected the Israeli plan only because it is an official recognition “of the reoccupation of the Gaza Strip, and Israel’s imposition of control over it to prolong the war against our people, and an attempt to gain more time to implement the displacement plan.”

This Ministry further says that the plan is “a blatant maneuver to oppose and thwart international efforts to link ceasefire agreements and the release of prisoners and hostages with resolving the conflict and materializing a Palestinian state on the ground.”

Netanyahu presented the plan to his security cabinet on Thursday night, which outlined principles regarding the management of the Gaza Strip after the conflict.

The plan calls for tightening Israel’s security grip on Gaza. Under the proposed plan, Israel will “maintain operational freedom of military actions throughout the Gaza Strip, without time constraints,” to prevent the resurgence of hostilities from the Palestinian enclave.

Defying international calls for Palestinian statehood after the war, the plan shows Israel plans to maintain “security control” over the entire West Bank and the Gaza Strip.

“Netanyahu’s principles explain the reason for his hostility and exclusion of the legitimate Palestinian authority, and reveal his rejection of the Palestinian state and political solutions to the conflict,” the ministry added.

The Palestinian ministry urged the U.S. administration and the international community to quickly recognize the Palestinian state and support its full membership in the United Nations, and to begin international arrangements to hold a peace conference that “leads to an end of the (Israeli) occupation and enables our people to exercise their right to self-determination freely.”
