Police arrested four more people for April 19 attack on the Douglas Memorial Church in Saoner near Nagpur and said two of them belonged to VHP and the other two to Bajrang Dal. The police had arrested three people on April 19, shortly after a group of men stormed the church during the mass, damaged property and terrorised devotees. They were protesting alleged conversions in the area by the church. A court sent the arrested persons into police custody till April 24. Uddhav Choudhary, Vinod Bagde and Umesh Athavankar were arrested on April 19 while Ramesh Dubey, Vikram Game, Arun Chafale and Bhagwati Janwar were rounded up on April 20. Police said Dubey and Janwar were both associated with VHP while Game and Chafale are connected to Bajrang Dal. The activists belong to Ramtek, Patansaongi and Saoner.
