The Victims Action Committee, which is fighting for justice against the brutal and inhumane firing that took place in Forbesganj, is now demanding a CBI enquiry into the case as they no more trust the administration and the judicial commission. Dr. Shakeel Ahmed Khan, member of the Congress Committee and the ex-director of the Nehru Yuva Kendra said that till now the guilty officers are holding on to their respective positions and have not been suspended or even transferred, hence with this kind of attitude of the Judicial Commission, we foresee that the victims of the crime will not get the desired justice. “It seems that the Judicial Commission is working under the pressure of the administration,” said Khan.
The President of the Victims Action Committee, Haji Usman said that they won’t accept anything less than the CBI enquiry in the Forbesganj firing case. So far the administration is trying to threaten the people of the village and have implicated some of the youths in concocted cases, because of which there is a sense of fear among the youths. Some of the youths have started fleeing the area and those left are being harassed by the police.
