It is indeed regretting that while governments of other nations with their monuments in competition-lists for being listed in seven wonders of the world are working hard to mobilise their public to vote on www.new7wonders.com or SMS ‘TAJ’ at 8888, Indian government with second largest populated nation of the world has not made any efforts to mobilise Indian public to vote for Taj Mahal in the list. Such voting will also add to India’s efforts to promote tourism in the country.

Our celebrities who appear for money on TV screens to attract viewers towards advertised products should also feel it their sacred national duty to campaign for Taj free of cost with TV channels giving sufficient free time for the national cause in last remaining days ending on 07.07.2007. Brazilian Football-team is busy in mobilising its nationals to vote for country’s monument. Till now, just four lakh Indians have cast their votes in the campaign out of total five crores. Newspapers should also give daily and prominent publicity to the cause.
