Voter Fraud to Mass Exclusion of Voters

This reminds one of a Hindi proverb: Daalmeinkuchkaalahai (there is something wrong somewhere) which can be rephrased in this manner to sum up the situation: Poori dal hi kaalihai (the whole thing is wrong)!

One can’t but be gobsmacked by the turn of events in the Indian polity: Voter fraud (chori) in Karnataka to SIR (Mass exclusion of voters in Bihar) which have dented the credibility of the ECI. This reminds one of a Hindi proverb: Daalmeinkuchkaalahai (there is something wrong somewhere) which can be rephrased in this manner to sum up the situation: Poori dal hi kaalihai (the whole thing is wrong)! I wouldn’t be surprised if power hungry politicians all over the world began visiting India to take tuition from their mentors over here in the art of perpetuation of political rule whether they have political support of the people or not.

Will Assam Accord Apply to Only Muslim Foreign Nationals?

Historic Assam Accord signed between the representatives of All Assam Students’ Union and the Centre on 15 August 1985 seeks detection and deportation without discrimination of both Muslim and non-Muslim foreign nationals who illegally entered Assam after 24 March 1971, the birth-day of Bangladesh, and the then all political parties and most student organisations in state extended support to the Accord as it provides a neutral solution to the vexed issue.

Recently the BJP-led Assam Govt. has, just before Assam assembly election 2026, issued a directive to its concerned offices to withdraw all cases of non-Muslim foreign nationals sub-judice in different Foreigner Tribunals in the state for years; and thereby enforcing the Citizenship (Amendment) Act 2019 in state. It repudiates and defeats the secular spirit of Assam Accord seeking deportation of all foreigners, irrespective of their religions and languages. Now it means that the Assam Accord applies to only Muslim foreign nationals ‘illegally living’ in Assam after1971. It infringes and invalidates the Assam Accord.

People who support justice and secularism should stand united to oppose tooth and nail the recent Assam Govt.’s directive and pressurise the Govt. to expel all sections of post-1971 foreign nationals from state; thereby preserving the secular spirit of Assam Accord needed for the welfare of Assamese society in future.

Hate That is Eager to Take Children’s Life

Three members of Shree Rama Sena named Sagar Patil, Krishna Madara and Naganagowda Patil are alleged to have poisoned the drinking water tank at a government school in Belagavi district of Karnataka.

A student poured insecticide into the school’s water tank, allegedly at the behest of a man named Krishna Madara, who had lured the child with chocolate and money to carry out the act, after which several children, aged between 7 to 10, fell sick on July 14.

Here the matter of concern is that just for the purpose of transferring the headmaster, who happens to be Muslim, from the government school, they have taken this heinous act of poisoning the water tank of the school.

The question arises how this malicious mind filled with hatred has evolved, which is ready to take the lives of students notwithstanding the consequences it may take place.

The police have arrested all the three criminal miscreants and registered a case under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and also launched an investigation into the incident after Suleman Gorinaik, the headmaster of the government Lower Primary school in Janata Colony, Hoolikatte village, filed a complaint.

The chief of ShreeramSena should be also investigated to bring out the truth behind this life-endangering cruel and nasty act of anti-Muslim hatred.

US Lawsuit against Dr.RamzyBaroud is a Politicised Attack

I write in support of the recent letter by Mr Farooq AbdulgafarBawani condemning the legal actions targeting Dr.RamzyBaroud and The Palestine Chronicle (Radiance Weekly 13 September 2025). Indeed, the US lawsuit is nothing but a politicised attack on journalistic integrity, which conflates independent Palestinian journalism with ideological complicity.

We stand in solidarity with those who defend press freedom and Dr.Baroud’s right to publish without fear of reprisal.
