We Must Know Heroes Of Islam

This is in reference to the column “Role Models” which started almost a year back. Nowadays we see that the children these days are more and more attracted towards celebrities, sportsmen, etc., which have nothing to offer except filth and wastes a lot of time. The column gives us at least an idea about the heroes of Islam who lived and died for Islam. They were the ones who understood the need of the hour and stood against tyranny and oppression and held the truth high. If we really want to prosper and provide a positive impact on the society then we must learn from the past and know how the Sahabas acted on the commands of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be to him). We must shun acquiring details about the celebrities which is useless as the Prophet used to pray, “I seek refuge from the knowledge that benefits not.”
